At Wrekin Moving & Storage, we take every care to protect your belongings throughout your move. However, whenever goods are being handled, transported or stored, there are risks that can arise.

That is why we now offer MoveProtect instead of insurance.

MoveProtect is a specialist contractual liability solution for the removals industry, offered through White & Company and designed to comply with FCA regulations. It is not an insurance product.

With MoveProtect, you declare the replacement value of the items being moved, and the charge is based on that declared value. Charges are subject to VAT. If something goes wrong while your belongings are in our care and liability is accepted, MoveProtect provides an enhanced level of protection compared with standard limited liability.

Claims made under MoveProtect do not affect the no-claims discount on your personal home insurance policy, which gives many customers added peace of mind.

If you decide not to take MoveProtect, our liability for loss or damage caused by negligence or breach of contract is limited to £40 per item.

You may also choose to arrange separate insurance through another provider if you would prefer.
